Hi Brenda,

What a beautiful blog you have created. It all flows so nice together, and it is easy to manoeuvre around here. I liked this blog post a lot, just as Marie have said. It is very thorough and creates a good understanding of all the energy sources that moves through this watershed. The coastal flooding is something that Hawaii see a lot these days, and it have been discussed if a hard or soft approach was the best answer to accommodate it. It was good to see that Lynnhaven is a succesful natural barrier towards it.

Thank you, Marie! I found the different zones in the wetland shorelines to be enlightening as well and which city/state organization is responsible for maintaining and monitoring them.

I really like the layout of this blog. It is easy to use and understand. Your post on the special characteristics of of the wetlands was fascinating. I did not know that there were different zones in the wetlands. I have been to this area before. I will be much more careful to look for them on my next trip. I am glad that Lynnhaven River NOW is working to educate others how important this area is for the coastal flooding that affects the city.
