At the Fall Festival, the Southern Branch Nursery in Chesapeake, VA had several native trees displayed at their tent. Several of the native plants happen to also be prominent along the Lynnhaven River watershed and in the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

I'm glad you included bald cypress in your list - it's probably my favorite species in the Tidewater region. If you live in the area and ever get the chance, kayak to the back right portion of Stumpy Lake (relative to the boat launch). There's a grouping of bald cypress trees that create a magical space back there. My husband and I used to tie off to them all the time for kayak picnics, to read, and sometimes to just float for a while. Also, the notable tree is a nice touch here. Apparently there's a 360 year old black oak less than a mile from our condo!
