Bubba's Restaurant, located along the Lynnhaven River, near the Lynnhaven Inlet, flooded from Hurricane Matthew on October 8, 2016. Major flooding also occurred in other areas connected to the Lynnhaven River, including my own neighborhood of Windsor Woods.

Earlier this year, Bubba's Restaurant had its building and marina raised 5 feet, in the event of flooding occurring again. However, The Back Deck Restaurant just next door did not fair so well during the flooding that occurred along the Lynnhaven River.
